Each year, we photograph 2-3 weddings at Bavaria Downs and are very familiar with the best spots to really capture your wedding day. I’m excited to share a bit more about this venue and some favorite photo spots.

Edward Anne Estate: Elegance and Opulence

The award-winning Edward Anne Estate a perfect venue to host your big day. Its charming architecture features exposed wooden beams, exquisite chandeliers, and inviting stone fireplaces – creating an atmosphere of warmth and romance.

The spacious getting ready suites allow you and your wedding party to relax and get ready in stylish comforts. It’s important to know that the venue has an exclusive caterer, D’amico Catering, which extends to your morning breakfast and lunch as well. My personal suggestion is to skip the breakfast and opt for an early lunch. Typically, the breakfast platter is untouched with all the running around and getting ready. Because Bavaria Downs requires a twenty-min 12:00 Rehearsal, it makes sense to have lunch be served at 10:45 for everyone to snack on beforehand. This way, when the wedding party returns around 12:30, we can jump right into photos and no one is rushing to eat.

Edward Anne Estate Reception Spaces

Bavaria Downs offers several spaces for wedding receptions, including the Garden Room, the Grand Ballroom, and the Outdoor Tent.

The Garden Room is an elegant indoor space, featuring stunning views of the property’s gardens. This is a smaller space, but with some creative seating, it can accommodate up to 250 guests. It is a much better space for couples wanting an intimate evening with closest friends and family. It does, however, make a great spot to host cocktail hour along with the patio.

The Grand Ballroom is the largest indoor space that can accommodate up to 450 guests. This is a modern addition to the estate with beautiful high ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The space is 6,000 square feet of space, with plenty of room to dance and a built in bar. The versatile layout of the ballroom allows for various seating arrangements and floor plans, for your perfect reception.

Finally, the Outdoor Tenting option is perfect for couples who want to enjoy the natural beauty of Bavaria Downs and can accommodate up to 400 guests. I will say, there’s nothing quite as elegant as a Sail-cloth upgraded Tent from Milestone Event Rentals and I would highly recommend the upgrade.

Equestria West: Versatility and Charm

This venue also has two ballrooms, a charming courtyard, luxurious getting-ready suites, and an enchanting outdoor forest ceremony site. Couples can customize their celebration to suit their unique vision. Equestria West combines elegance and a rustic charm. Once the Horse Stables, the space has been completely reimagined. My favorite detail is the abundance of natural light that adds warmth and charm to the space. However, there are still subtle nods to its origins — the chandeliers are made of horse bridals and the whole venue features a white-wash shiplap wood. The venue’s indoor/outdoor bar concept, rounded chandeliers, and high-back chairs create a welcoming atmosphere that invites guests to mingle and enjoy the festivities. It is not as timeless of a look as Edward Anne Estate, but certainly is fun.
