Congratulations to Nicole + Dan for winning our first Mystery Photo Date! Nothing goes better together than coffee + donuts. I was so excited when I came up with the idea to surprise couples with a pre-planned date and then document that date with my camera. There doesn’t have to be a special occasion to take pictures with the person you love. In fact, that is what I love so much about lifestyle photography.
Lifestyle photography isn’t staging a “spontaneous” pillow fight in your bedroom. It’s more lounging about in bed with a cup of coffee, probably watching Netflix and just being with your partner. Unless you are an avid pillow fighter, in which case, apologies on my part. So, I planned out a date for Nicole + Dan at Glam Doll Donuts + Five Watt Coffee and did my best to just let the morning unfold. I directed minimally and instead let them be comfortable and act like themselves. They just happen to be an adorably in-love couple.
