7. Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot

Look to the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel for a truly unique wedding venue. The Depot is truly a one-of-a-kind backdrop featuring a grand ballroom with views of the city skyline. It also hosts an adjacent outdoor patio that is perfect for your ceremony or reception. This is one of the few venues with historic marble arches, creating a light and airy feel despite not having many actual windows. What you’ll love about that is how private the ballroom feels because of this. Still, this massive venue can host your guests in two different ballrooms with two additional options for indoor ceremony locations and cocktail event space to spare.

The Minikahda Club is a private country club located just west of the lake. It is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi River.

The venue features several beautiful event spaces, including an outdoor terrace overlooking the lake, but my personal favorite is the grand ballroom.
