As a Wedding Photographer in Minneapolis, I have had the immense privilege of photographing some of the best wedding venues worldwide. From venues nestled in the Seville countryside to the gorgeous venues right in my backyard. I am excited to share the top 10 wedding venues in Minneapolis, MN (full disclosure, these are my favorites within 30 mins of the cities). 10. The Royal Golf Club

As a preferred Wedding Photographer of the Royal Golf Club, I have the pleasure of photographing 2-3 weddings a year at this stunning venue. The Lakeside Ceremony space is one of the most epic views for an “I do.” And the blank slate-style reception hall has so much potential. I love how clean and elegant this venue is and am happy to share a few of my favorite spots on the grounds. You can read my published Minnesota Bride Magazine article online. The stunning outdoor ceremony space overlooks scenic Horseshoe Lake. Both convenience and beauty are what make this unique, outdoor space a perfect location for your wedding ceremony!

9. White Bear Yacht Club

The White Bear Yacht Club is located on the shore of White Bear Lake, just northeast of the Twin Cities. With panoramic views of the lake and Manitou Island, manicured gardens and sprawling lawns, and sunset scenes from the dock, it makes for the perfect backdrop. The indoor reception space can accommodate up to 175 of your favorite people. The Clubhouse is decorated with a warm and inviting style. In addition, it features beautiful natural light, a stunning grand staircase and an intimate, yet inviting atmosphere.

8. Loring Social

Just south of downtown Minneapolis is the Loring Social venue. The space features historic brick walls, charming chandeliers, and modern contemporary artwork and decor. What makes this a unique venue, is the versatility of the space – it really can fit any vision you have! This venue makes the list because of the signature garage doors. These open up into the Loring Social Alleyway – a favorite photo location for many photographers.

7. Nicollet Island Pavilion

The Nicollet Island Pavilion is a truly iconic Minneapolis wedding venue. It overlooks the Mississippi River with a stunning view from the outdoor ceremony location. This is a huge venue that can accommodate 500+ guests. In fact, it features:

525+ Main room round table seating
700+ Including tent area seating
750 Theatre style seating
5,000 Mingling

Additionally, the venue is located on St. Anthony Main. St. Anthony Main is a favorite location of mine for Wedding Party Photos. Overall, the venue is the perfect combination of waterfront charm with urban elegance.

6. The Depot & Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel

This historic venue combines the vibrant city feel with a timeless brick! If you have any out-of-town guests, they can stay right at the hotel, making for a very fun night. The rooms are gorgeous and perfect for your getting ready photos.

Finally, being so close to the Mill City Museum, there are so many photo locations within 5 mins drive. Perfect for Couple photos or Wedding Party photos.

5. The Beach Club

I may be biased because The Beach Club is in my backyard, but I love it. The grand ballroom makes such a statement for your ceremony space. My favorite thing to do is for us to sneak off across the street to the beach for sunset photos.
Moreover, the Beach Club is a beautiful wedding venue. It is well-equipped to host the wedding of your dreams. The Solarium on the second floor, which can accommodate 230 guests, is an ideal locale to exchange your vows.

4. Urban Daisy

It truly is a clean, blank canvas. Its simplicity in design is perfect for any bride with a vision. I have watched the space transform so many times. And what is amazing is each wedding day is just so perfectly aligned with the couple I am photographing.
The windows are a feature worth booking over. But what wowed me as a vendor was how well-thought-out the space logistics are arranged with secret service tunnels and so much thought put into how the day will flow.
Meanwhile, I have the pleasure of photographing about 2-3 weddings at Urban Daisy each year. And each completely transforms the space.

3. Hutton House

The Hutton House is a top event venue located minutes west of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It offers elegant surroundings, thoughtful planning, and an impeccable level of personalized service. Moreover, The Hutton House provides a different experience for events like wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Hutton House is an urban oasis with soaring ceilings, natural light as well as beautifully designed private spaces.
So, tour the Hutton House if you are searching for a modern, clean-designed venue that truly is a blank slate.

2. Lafayette Club

If you have a classically elegant style and appreciate a ballroom reception, I highly recommend scheduling a tour with The Lafayette Club. Your guests will enjoy the club’s history while they take in the scenic view of Lake Minnetonka.

Without mentioning Bavaria Downs, we couldn’t have a Top 10 Wedding Venues in Minneapolis, MN. This is a Luxury Euro wedding venue located 30 minutes outside the cities. Bavaria Downs is unique in its French fine art style and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I have photographed it many times, and each time I visit, I am amazed.
